TWS (2 posts) TWS Hi, I am currently 16 .My friend and I are awaiting our O levels results and are looking for a job at the upcoming Sitex 2010.

Our preferred pay would be $6.50 per hour with 5% commission ( neg ). We are willing to do any job ranging from the distributing of flyers to promoting laptops, desktops, mobile phones ,cameras, projectors, printers, and many more.

We are both bilingually skillful (English and mandarin ) , friendly and approachable.

We are avid fanatics of technology and can help you to promote your latest gadgets effectively.

Most importantly, we will be committed to working full time 11 am to 9 pm ( with lunch breaks ) from 25th November to 28 th November.

Working with my friend will enable us to seem more approachable to customers and prevent them from being afraid of asking questions, thus attracting more business.

Anonymous Unregistered Anonymous I am able to hire you and pay you at $8 per hour + commision if you are able to say out the difference between hard drive and solid-state drive. This is the most common people will ask. Able to answer and you will get the job.
If you are able to work all days and full time you base pay will be $80 X 4 = $320
In addition of your comission it will be $600 if you work hard. Our store are selling products like laptops / destop. Gaming and non-gaming.

The answer as show below:
A solid state drive is a storage device that uses solid state memory to store data. While technically not a disk, a solid state drive will often be referred to as a solid state disk drive, or a solid state disk, in reference to the fact that, in some ways, it replaces the traditional hard disk drive. and also SSD is made of electronic memory chip, so basic flash, USB drive (something similary to usb drive) and its very costy.

Hard disk drives were a faithful servant to computing for many years. But with heads, platters, magnetic surfaces, spindles and an array of other complex moving parts, they are most certainly fallible. They can be slow, too: disks have to start spinning if they're not already doing so, then they have to get the head to the correct position on the disk to read or write the data. Add this to the physical problems occurring when a piece of dust or other foreign object gets into the mechanism, or when an impact jolts the drive, and we have a distinctly imperfect system. Solid state drives address many of these timing and structural problems inherent in the hard disk drive.

Solid state drives are generally more expensive but can perform faster. They are based on flash nano technology.(SSDs) are more suitable for people who need to transfer large amounts of data quickly ( eg video watching).But Hard Disk Drives ( HHD) are usually more cost effective, although slightly slower, its speeds are sufficient for people who wish to store large amounts of data on their drives but do not require a rapid read/write rate.(SSD also generally have a longer lifespan than HHDs) ( I learnt this from a school workshop I attended months ago)
