The PC SHOW 2013 Event Info, Highlights, Major Exhibitors, Product Launches & More

The PC Show 2013 @ Singapore Expo, Halls 5 & 6. Happening from 6 June to 9 June 2013

The PC Show 2013 runs from 6-9 June at its new location at the Singapore Expo (Halls 5 & 6), and opens daily from 12 noon to 9 pm.

Returning Show exhibitors for this year include Acer, ASUS, Canon, Dell, EpiCentre, Fujifilm, HP, M1, Samsung, SingTel, StarHub and Toshiba. Newcomers include ACE Peripherals, Aftershock PC, Astell Asia, Incubator Systems, WiSOL Singapore and MediaCorp Toggle.

Shoot from the hip or do the backflip. There is practically no limit to what you can do with the new Canon 12.1 megapixel PowerShot SX280 HS and SX270 HS. With Canon’s new super zoom SX series of compact cameras, there is no need to be up close and personal with what you want to shoot.

Its 20 x Optical Zoom lens enables you to easily capture objects in the distance, allowing users the versatility to zoom from a 25mm wide shot for near wide-angle capture, to a 50mm telephoto shot.

Canon 12.1 megapixel PowerShot SX280 HS and SX270 HS

These cameras are the first Canon cameras to incorporate the brand new DIGIC 6 image processor which is 2.4 times faster than the DIGIC 5 processor. Besides enhancing its noise reduction capability, photos taken at high ISO speeds maintain the maximum amount of details and contrast, ensuring that the essence and mood of the environment in the pictures are accurately captured, even in low-light conditions.

Canon’s newly launched PowerShot N super zoom compacts are not the only amazing IT and consumer electronics that you can find at The PC Show 2013. Singapore’s longest running IT and consumer electronics show is back for its 23rd showing with the latest and smartest gadgets in the market, one of the widest range of products and bargains under one roof.

You can also meet Neato at The PC Show, arguably the smartest robotic vacuum cleaner in Singapore. It scans, maps and plans. Doesn’t bump into walls, run around madly in circles or move around randomly

So smart that it knows exactly where it is going at all times. Not a single spot escapes its eagle eye.



Neato is the world’s first laser mapping vacuum cleaner of its kind and uses infrared light to scan its surroundings five times every second. Authorised dealer Astell Asia is offering Neato at a special only-for-The PC Show promotional price.

As with previous shows, exhibitors expect consumers to bargain hunt for ‘must-buy’ IT gadgets and consumer electronics on their wish list.

Several exhibitors will be launching new products at The PC Show. For avid gamers, GamePro Shop is bringing in the new MSI GE40 20C gaming laptop featuring the latest Intel 4 th Generation Processor and nVidia GeForce graphics card which is being launched at The PC Show. GamePro is offering the new MSI at a special price for The PC Show buyers, together with free gifts.

VEOLO2 Smart Hub

AC Ryan is launching its VEOLO2 Smart Hub at The PC Show which features a totally different user interface and enhanced navigation. The latest model combines the most demanded functions to provide a complete digital home entertainment device like never seen before: apps, internet and a media streamer, all on your TV set. VEOLO2 runs on the market leading Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform, bringing VEOLO2 an enhanced experience for apps on a TV including casual games and social media.

The built-in web browser allows you to view your favourite websites and stream videos, music, movies and photos in full HD with wired LAN or built-in Wi-Fi from the comfort of your sofa.

Hanman International is making available the Virdi AC-F100 connected finger print access control with time attendance and built-in camera. The world’s first device can which unlock the door remotely and at the same time capture and send log data and image of users or visitors.

Its real-time video feature lets you view visitors from wherever you are. What it means is that the AC-F100 installed on an ADSL network in, for example, New York, can be controlled by a smartphone in London on a 3G connection, provided both devices are connected to the internet, without the need for a VPN (Virtual Private Network).

Canvio Connect

Toshiba is showcasing its newly launched portable hard drive, the Canvio Connect which offers high capacity storage along with the ability to access and share files directly from the device. A first of its kind, these drives offer high capacity storage – available in 500GB, 1TB and 2TB. Like its predecessors, the Canvio® Connect also comes loaded with NTI® Backup Now EZ™ that allows you to clone your computer and restore it to its original saved state in the event of a computer crash.

Many exhibitors are offering new products at special show prices. Acer, for example, is offering several of its computers at prices which are at least $200 lower than their usual selling price.

These include Acer’s Aspire S7 Ultrabook™ series (Aspire S7-191, Aspire S7-391), Aspire XC600 – Mini PC, Aspire V5 Touch Notebook series, T2 Series Touch Monitors, H6 series LED- backlit monitors and the Aspire ZS600 All-in-One Desktop.

Apple fans will be happy to know that EpiCentre is offering steep discounts for several Apple gadgets and accessories.

Besides discounted prices, special bundling packages and free gifts with purchase, customers who make purchases at The PC Show will also stand the chance of winning $10,000 in a lucky draw organised by Lines Exposition & Management Services. For every $50 spent, customers will get one chance to win the top prize and a host of other attractive prizes.
