http://arewold.wordpress.com/2007/08/27/having-problems-with-the-seagate-freeagent-500-gb-external-disk-drive/ u just have to see the reviews worldwide to decide for urself whether u want to buy a problem on the cheap... it even throws in non-existent tech support... i lost 500gb of data not becos the hdd was lousy, but becos the enclosure was so badly designed that it din allow the hdd to breathe... it simply means the heat generated could not dissipate n the hdd cant work under high temp...

erik (2 posts)	seagate's release of their media player seems to have been rushed. the player lacks a lot of features offered by their competitors.
